Garage Flooring Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley garages tend to sit behind the house rather than in front of it, and the floor is what decides whether that space reads as part of the home or as storage.

Garage Floor Coatings for Paradise Valley Homes

A show garage is only ever as finished as the floor underneath it.

Most properties here keep three or four bays, and they hold a great deal more than cars. A lift, a golf cart, seasonal storage and a work bench all share one slab. That slab was poured as structure, so it is raw concrete carrying everything the room is asked to do.

Untreated concrete absorbs. Engine oil, coolant and hydraulic fluid sink in and darken it from below, where scrubbing cannot reach. The surface also powders as it abrades, and that fine dust settles onto paintwork, cabinetry and anything left on open shelving.

Sealing the slab closes both problems at once. Dialed In Epoxy opens the concrete with diamond tooling, fills what needs filling, and bonds a resin build into the surface so the floor becomes one closed, washable plane.

We coat single bays, four car garages, casita floors and detached workshops around Paradise Valley. The build stays the same in each case and the finish is chosen to suit the room.

Metallic Epoxy Floors in
Paradise Valley

Metallic is the finish for a garage that gets shown rather than only used.

Pigment is dispersed through a clear resin coat and then moved while it is still wet, so the color drifts, pools and separates instead of lying flat. From standing height it reads as polished stone, poured marble or deep water.

How far the pigment travels depends on how it is worked, so no two pours resolve the same way. Colors can be pulled toward the house, a car collection or the cabinetry, which is why metallic ends up in display bays and entertaining space.

Epoxy Flake Floors in Paradise Valley

Flake is the harder wearing choice where the bays are actually worked.

It is built in layers: colored polymer flake broadcast into a wet base, scraped back once it has hardened, then locked in under two polyaspartic top coats that hold their color in sunlight.

The scraped flake leaves a light tooth rather than a mirror, so the floor keeps grip when a car comes in wet. It shrugs off the brake cleaner, solvents and battery acid a working bay collects, and it takes the point load of jack stands without bruising.

Cleaning is a dust mop and an occasional wet mop with a mild detergent. Nothing gets waxed or stripped, and the same system can carry on out to a patio, a casita floor or a pool surround if you want the finish to run through.

Garage Flooring Benefits

Durable

Cured resin is dense and thick enough that tire weight, dropped tools and dragged equipment do not gouge it. It stands off moisture, grit and road film, along with the hot tire pickup that lifts thinner coatings away from the slab.

easy to clean

Once the concrete is closed there is nowhere for dirt to sink into, so a damp mop and a mild cleaner is the whole routine. That is what turns a Paradise Valley garage into a room rather than a shed with a door on it.

UV STABLE & MOISTURE RESISTANT

The top coats are 100% UV stable, so a bay taking afternoon sun through an open door does not yellow along that line. Underneath, the base closes the concrete against moisture rising through the slab, which is what stops a coating letting go.

SEALS AND PROTECTS THE CONCRETE

Concrete is strong in compression and weak against everything else: it wicks, it dusts, it stains. The resin build sits over it as a flexible, far harder skin, so damage stops at the surface instead of soaking into the slab.

Our Dialed-In System

Every Paradise Valley floor we install runs through the same six stages, from opening the concrete to sealing the last coat. The specification does not change with the size of the garage or the finish on top of it.

1. Grind it

We start by mechanically grinding, profiling, and vacuuming the concrete garage floor to ensure the strongest adhesion possible.

2. Repair

No matter the damage, we repair every crack and hole in the garage floor.

3. Coat

We apply a base coat for flake flooring and 100% solids epoxy or primer coat for metallic epoxy.

4. Coat it or flake it

For flake flooring, we broadcast the polymer flakes to provide even color and texture. For the metallic floor, we apply the metallic color coat. For 100% solids epoxy, we apply the second coat.

5. Scrape

For flakes, we scrape off all excess bits to prepare the floor for the final step.

6. Seal & Protect

We finish with two coats of UV stable polyaspartic topcoat.
