Pigment is carried in a clear resin coat and moved while it is still liquid, so it drifts into veins and depth instead of one even tone. Under garage lighting it reads closer to stone or rippled water than to a painted floor.

Flake is the practical choice for a family garage.
It goes down in layers: flake broadcast into the wet base, scraped back flat once it hardens, then sealed under polyaspartic that does not yellow in sunlight.
The finished texture sits slightly raised, so it stays grippy when a car drips through a monsoon evening. It resists what a household garage collects, from pool acid to fertilizer, and it takes bikes, strollers and dropped weights without chipping.
Cleaning is a dust mop through the week and a wet mop when it needs one.
