Out here the garage is rarely only a garage. It holds a workbench, a compressor, quads or a side by side, and often a project that has been up on stands a while. Everything gets dragged, wheeled and dropped onto the same slab.
Raw concrete does not hold up under that. Oil and fuel soak in and darken it, dust comes off the surface as it wears, and anything dragged across scores it. Over time the floor becomes something you sweep at rather than something you clean.
A bonded coating changes what the floor is. Dialed In Epoxy grinds the slab to clean concrete, repairs the cracks and joints, then builds a resin system into it so spills sit on the surface and come off with a rag.

Metallic is the finish for the bay you want looking finished rather than functional.
Pigment is suspended in a clear resin and worked while it is still moving, so it separates into depth and pattern instead of one tone. Under lighting it reads as stone or as poured metal, depending on the palette.
Because the pattern forms while the resin cures, nothing about it repeats and no two floors match. Colors can be built around a vehicle, a workshop scheme or the house itself, and it holds that look under ordinary shop lighting.
It goes into display bays and clean side workshops far more often than into the space where the actual work happens.
Flake is the finish that suits a working property.
It is built in layers: flake broadcast into the wet base coat, scraped back once cured, then sealed twice with polyaspartic that stands up to sunlight and chemical contact.
The texture keeps footing when the floor is wet or has oil on it, and the pattern hides the dust that comes off a dirt access road. It resists fuel, hydraulic fluid and solvent, and it takes jack stands, ramps and dropped steel without breaking up.
Upkeep is a broom and a mop with mild detergent, with nothing to strip or reseal. The coating can carry through to an equipment bay or a covered apron so the surfaces match across the property. We coat equipment bays and covered aprons under the same epoxy work, not as a separate job.
The cured film is thick and rigid, so dropped tools, dragged equipment and vehicle weight mark it far less than a bare slab. It resists moisture, dust and fuel, and it holds against the hot tire pickup that lifts a painted floor.
With the concrete closed, dirt and dust have nowhere to embed, so a broom and a mop genuinely get the floor clean. On a property where everything arrives covered in dust, that saves real time each week.
The top coats are 100% UV stable, so a shop door left open through the day does not fade a band into the floor. The base coats seal the slab against ground moisture, which is common where a building sits directly on desert soil.
Concrete is porous, brittle at the surface and easy to stain. A resin layer becomes the working surface instead, so the slab carries on doing structural work and stops taking the wear.
Every New River floor is built through the same six stages, whether it is a two car garage or a detached shop. Preparation is what the finished floor depends on, so the sequence is not shortened for a job out of town.
We start by mechanically grinding, profiling, and vacuuming the concrete garage floor to ensure the strongest adhesion possible.
No matter the damage, we repair every crack and hole in the garage floor.
We apply a base coat for flake flooring and 100% solids epoxy or primer coat for metallic epoxy.
For flake flooring, we broadcast the polymer flakes to provide even color and texture. For the metallic floor, we apply the metallic color coat. For 100% solids epoxy, we apply the second coat.
For flakes, we scrape off all excess bits to prepare the floor for the final step.
We finish with two coats of UV stable polyaspartic topcoat.
