Epoxy Garage Flooring Phoenix

Garage Floor Coatings In Prescott

Prescott sits high enough to get a real winter, and the freeze and thaw cycle is hard on a bare garage slab. A sealed floor keeps water out of the concrete before that turns into a repair.

Garage Floor Coatings in Prescott

Water getting into the slab is what does the damage up here.

Garages in Prescott are attached to houses built decades apart, and the slabs vary as much as the homes do. Some are tight and flat, others are pitted, cracked or wearing an old paint that never bonded properly. Almost all of them store far more than a car.

Concrete holds water, and at this elevation that water freezes. Every cycle opens the pores a little wider, so the surface spalls, dusts and eventually lifts away in sheets. Snow melting off a vehicle keeps the process fed right through the winter.

Closing the concrete is what breaks the cycle. Dialed In Epoxy grinds the slab back, cuts out and fills the failed areas, then bonds a resin system into the sound concrete so meltwater has no pores to get into.

We coat attached garages, detached shops and workshop floors around Prescott. The condition of the existing slab decides how much preparation a job needs, which is why we look at it before quoting.

Kevin was great to work with. I told him what kind of design I wanted for my garage floor and he executed it to perfection. He showed up on time and cleaned up after he was done. When my floor is ready for a new clear coat I will be calling back.

Metallic Epoxy Flooring

Metallic Epoxy Floors for Prescott Garages

Metallic is the choice where a garage is finished to the same standard as the house.

Metallic pigment is floated through clear resin and moved before it sets, so the color gathers into veins and shadow rather than one tone. The effect is closest to cut stone, and it shifts with the angle you look from.

Nothing about the pattern repeats, because it develops during the cure instead of being printed. Colors can be built around a cabin interior or a workshop fit out, and the finish sits through the swing between a July afternoon and a January morning.

Epoxy Flake Garage Floors Prescott

Flake handles a Prescott winter better than any other finish we install.

It is built up in layers: flake broadcast into the base coat, scraped back to a level surface, then sealed under polyaspartic that stays flexible while the slab moves with the temperature.

The texture holds grip when snow melts off a truck and runs across the floor, which is where most garage falls happen. It also resists road salt residue, antifreeze and the mud that comes off a forest road in spring.

Cleaning is a mop and a mild detergent, with no annual sealing to remember. The system can be carried out onto a covered porch or a shop entry where the same weather lands.

Garage Flooring Benefits

Durable

The cured build is thick and tough, so studded tire grit, dropped firewood and a dragged toolbox do not cut through it. It resists moisture, chemical spills and the tire marks a hot vehicle leaves on an untreated slab.

easy to clean

There are no open pores for grit and meltwater to work into, so cleaning is a mop rather than a scrub. In a Prescott garage that mostly means clearing winter grit before it gets walked into the house.

Garage Flooring Phoenix
UV STABLE & MOISTURE RESISTANT

The top coats are 100% UV stable, so a south facing bay does not fade where the light falls. Underneath, the epoxy seals against moisture coming up through the slab, which is the failure a freeze cycle turns into spalling.

SEALS AND PROTECTS THE CONCRETE

Concrete is porous and it moves. Left bare it takes on water, then loses its surface a layer at a time. A resin skin puts a harder and far less permeable surface in the way of that, so the slab is protected rather than exposed.

Our Dialed-In System

Every Prescott floor follows the same six stages, and on an older slab the preparation end of that sequence carries the most weight. What changes between jobs is the repair work, not the specification.

1. Grind it

We start by mechanically grinding, profiling, and vacuuming the concrete garage floor to ensure the strongest adhesion possible.

2. Repair

No matter the damage, we repair every crack and hole in the garage floor.

3. Coat

We apply a base coat for flake flooring and 100% solids epoxy or primer coat for metallic epoxy.

4. Coat it or flake it

For flake flooring, we broadcast the polymer flakes to provide even color and texture. For the metallic floor, we apply the metallic color coat. For 100% solids epoxy, we apply the second coat.

5. Scrape

For flakes, we scrape off all excess bits to prepare the floor for the final step.

6. Seal & Protect

We finish with two coats of UV stable polyaspartic topcoat.
